Dr Susan Byrne

I will be taking up a post as Paediatric Neurologist/Senior lecturer between CHI, Crumlin and RCSI/FutureNeuro in early 2021. I am currently working in Evelina London Children’s hospital where I was appointed as a consultant in 2017. In addition to acute and outpatient-based general paediatric neurology I also specialize in neuroinflammatory disorders of childhood and paediatric stroke.

I have always been interested in research and teaching. I completed a PhD in Trinity College in 2012. My main research area of interest is in genotype/phenotype correlation in the neurogenetic disorders of childhood, as well as the molecular basis of these disorders.
